PT Works
Maude received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. Her first three years as a physical therapist were spent in the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago treating individuals with neurological impairments. Since then Maude has worked in outpatient Orthopedics except for a four year stint teaching orthopedic assessment and treatment development to the students in the Physical Therapy Graduate Program at Northwestern.
Maude is comfortable working with all orthopedic impairments, with a special interest in peripheral joints which include injuries to the upper and lower extremities. Her strengths include listening to her clients and making sure that their goals become her goals. She is Maitland certified, which means taking the patient's signs and symptoms in her assessment to develop an effective treatment plan. In addition, Maude has extensive experience with Kinesiotape which facilitates the body's natural healing process while providing support to muscles and joints.
In her free time, Maude and her husband, Paul, love spending time with their five grown children. She plays golf and tennis weekly and tries to exercise daily. It is always good to practice what one preaches!!
